A Bit About Us
The Seraphim Project was born by the founder because of her lived experience of multiple traumas resulting in c-PTSD. Struggling for a decade to get help and working her way off the street gave her insight to the lack of support for those with trauma specifically in lower income populations, the lack of trauma informed care and lack of accessibility to therapy inspired this project.
If we want to help people on the streets, and people who are at risk, we need to provide trauma informed care and access to specific mental health resources. Only then will we be able to stop the trauma cycles.
Initially this project was started as a non-profit, however, due to the barriers and intense process of becoming a non-profit, the project became an sole proprietorship in March 2022. We aim to become a social enterprise and to re-invest the majority of our profits into the health of the community, and would love to see accessible mental health care for all
